Finals to be played on Saturday ,august 13th

As part of the sports programs developed by Petaquilla Gold Company throughout this year, seeking to strengthen the team and spirit of camaraderie amongst the employees of this gold producing company and with the goal of providing some healthy recreation  to be shared with colleagues, friends and family a Petaquilla Gold indoor soccer tournament was held

During the evening of Saturday, august 6^th at the synthetic “Futgol” field located in Juan Diaz the Petaquilla Gold quadrangular tournament kicked off.

In the tournament, called a “soccer quadrangular”, the Geoinfo, Petaquilla Panamá, Petaquilla Penonomé y EnvirolaB teams all participated.

In games that were played simultaneously to choose the two winners that will then play in the finals,  Petaquilla Penonomé defeated their Panama counterparts with a score of nine goals to four while EnvirolaB had no mercy over Geoinfo who they defeated eight to zero.

On Saturday, August 13th, in a forthcoming final, EnvirolaB and Petaquilla Penonomé will have their face off to decide who is the Champion in an impossible -to-predict game due to the tenacity they have both showed in their previous matches.

The practice of sports in all disciplines is a key priority of this company and entrepreneur Richard Fifer-Carles is a great encourager of these recreational efforts that aim to strengthen the fellowship among all the partners of this big mining family.

According to official figures from the General Comptroller of the Republic of Panama, Petaquilla Gold is, for the second consecutive year, the number one exporter in Panama.
