Richard Fifer – Cristobal Colon visits Panama

A sustainable tourism project is driven in the country

Cristobal Colon is back in America, and it’s not a joke.  Colon is visiting Panama until March 23rd. We mean Cristobal Colon XX, Duke of Veraguas, the most direct descendant of the discoverer of America, who traveled to the country for the presentation of the Fundacion Castilla del Oro.

This foundation, led by the businessman Richard Fifer-Carles, impulses a project to develop the sustainable tourism in the provinces of Cocle, Veraguas and Colon. Colon would travel to different locations of the country like Penonome and Nata de los Caballeros during five days, including several locations in the capital city.

Yesterday the descendant of the discoverer visited the installations of El Siglo – La Estrella, where he met the president of the company Ibrahim Asvat which talked about the risks of introducing free newspapers in developed countries would affect the traditional journalism.

 

A MAN OF THE SEA

The discoverer of America was the admiral and major general of the Indies. Now a day’s these titles still exist and are handled by the actual descendant along with the dukes of Veraguas y de la Vega and also the marquees of the island of the Jamaica.

Following the call of the sea Cristobal Colon XX became a professional marine and has carried out a varied career as an officer on board various ships; at the same time he served the navy as a pilot. During seven years he piloted antisubmarine helicopters which were operated from the Spanish aircraft carrier. Later he took a specialization curse in antisubmarine battle and came back to the boats to get experience before being appointed as commander of one of them. After he accomplished his illusion of commanding a unit, he joined the mayor state of the navy in Madrid, where he fulfills the last four years of effective service.
